We all know that “you can’t judge a book by its cover”
So, I try to learn a bit about everyone who comes into the studio for a headshot or portrait session. I want to know more about their families and what interests them. What they are passionate about.
It helps me to create a more personal experience for them.
For the past 35 years, Mario has been a technician for a major New England-based apartment company. He works with the residents to ensure that everything is running smoothly.
During his session for an updated headshot, he mentioned that he will be retiring next year. So, I asked him what he plans to do then.
“I’m a missionary,” he said, “I will be moving back to my native Guatemala. We are building a church (La Familia de Dios) where I will preach and minister to the poorest people.
Sometimes when we look deeper, we find so much more.
