In hidden nooks, they hide with glee,
Knocking over your coffee, oh what a spree!
In the supermarket they’re wild, tantrums they fling,
And all the candies in the dish vanish with a giggle’s wing.
With mouths of sweetness, they deny their deed,
While chaos reigns all around them, they pay no heed.
“Stop bothering your sister,” you plead and pray,
But to your words, they just smile and dance away.
Yet in the warmth of their tender hug,
They melt your heart, a snug bug.
With innocent eyes, they speak true,
“I love you, Mommy and Daddy, through and through.”
And in that fleeting moment, all is well,
All those spills and tears, a distant spell.
These gifts from above, make us grin,
They are God’s own creation, our children, our kin.
